Freda Louise Dixon

Freda Louise Dixon, 65, of Fairdale, Kentucky, Went home to her Heavenly Father, on March 26, 2018. She was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Oddfellows Lodge.

Freda Louise Dixon welcomed everyone she met, with an open heart and had nothing but love to give. She always put those around her at peace, and made you feel like family. Her wisdom and insight were matched only by her ability to heal and comfort those who sought her calming voice. She was always positive and had nothing but kind words for those who knew her. Everyone could "do no wrong" in her eyes. The world lost a kind soul who will be truely missed by everyone.

Freda was born on March 27, 1952, in Central City, Kentucky to the late Lawrence Thomas and Freda Simpson. She was also preceded in death by her Brothers, Dink Simpson, Frankie Simpson, Woody Simpson, Norman Simpson, Forrest Simpson, Rusty Simpson, and her Sister, Maudell Hopkins.

Freda is survived by her husband of 26 years, Alan Dixon; children, Melinda (Jason) Sanders and Norman Goodwin; a step-son, Mike (Chiara) Dixon; grandchildren, Ashley Adams, Amber Adams, Justin Adams, Christin Sanders, Clayton Sanders, Collin Sanders, Maranda Dixon, Marissa Dixon, Alexander Barber, Jeremy Goodwin, and Julia Barber; a great-grandson, Luke Alan Rivera; brothers, Roy Simpson, Lawrence Simpson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). A memorial service will be held at a later date.
