December 10, 1939 — February 7, 2018
Leroy Powell, 79, passed away on February 7, 2018. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed going to Knob Creek Shooting Range. Leroy was the Kentucky and Indiana Long Rifle champion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mamie Powell; brother, Wendell Powell.
Leroy is survived by his daughter, Rena Huff; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Lannie (Carol) Powell, of Grayson County and Wayne (Nancy) Powell, of Clarkson, KY; loving friend, Mary Brown; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Jim Carlisle and Jim Smith.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 11am-1pm.. A graveside service will be at Bethany Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Hwy, Valley Station, KY, beginning at 1pm.
