Jamel William Mundy, 26, of Louisville returned home to meet his Heavenly Father on Friday, December 15, 2017.
Jamel was born March 9, 1991, in Louisville, Kentucky with a deep love of all things artistic. He was a devoted son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin to all who were blessed to love him and a kind, compassionate friend to all who had the pleasure to know him. Now he rests among the clouds basking in the glow of God's healing grace and creating masterpieces for the angels to admire.
He is survived by his mother, Jenise Squires, Louisville, KY; his father, Glenn Mundy, Lake Charles, LA; paternal grandmother, Ella Marie Mundy, Louisville; maternal grandfather, William F. Squires, Jr., Louisville; brothers Maurice (Kyle) and Brian (Josh), Louisville; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Janet B. Cannon (Leon).
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Dr., Louisville, KY, 40243. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 22, 2017 at Bates Memorial Baptist Church, 620 Lampton St., Louisville, KY, 40203.
