Delbert Wade Thompson, Sr.

Delbert Wade "Chief" Thompson, Sr., 74, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 3, 1943 to the late Chester and Anna Christine Thompson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Albin.

Delbert is survived by his beloved children, Kevin Thompson, Kimberly Thompson Evans (Doug), Alexis Mattingly (Tyrell) and Delbert Thompson, Jr.; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Phyllis Young, Edna Luckett, Roger Thompson, David Thompson and Robin Evans; his beloved cat, Snickers and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral Ceremony will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017 Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be from 3-8 on Thursday at the funeral home.
