Sarah Ann Gibson, 81, of Louisville, KY passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017. She was a homemaker who loved her family very much.
Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Tex" Gibson; parents, Agnes and William Cecil; brothers, William Cecil, Jr., Joseph Cecil and Louis Cecil; sisters, Louise Cecil and Margaret Cecil.
Sarah is survived by her sons, Glen Reed (Lisa) Gibson and Clayton Darrell (Paula) Gaddis; daughter, Frankie Lee Basil; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ann, Jenifer, David and John; several great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; friends and a host of other relatives including a step-daughter, Sandra Hartz; step-son, Edward F. Gibson as well as childhood friends and a loving brother-in-law, Donald Stanfield.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 6, 2017 beginning at 3pm-8pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Reception, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY. A celebration of Sarah's life will be Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the chapel of the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations, be made to Hosparus of Louisville, 3532 Ephraim McDowell Drive, Louisville, KY 40205.
Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Hwy, Valley Station, KY.
