Glenda Kay Layne passed away at her home in Louisville, Ky on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at the age of 63.
Glenda was born in Martin, Ky to Pauline and Jake Layne on June 23, 1954. She graduated from Martin High School and went on to earn a degree in Special Education from Morehead State University.
Glenda is preceded in death by her father, Jake Layne and her grandson JD. Glenda is survived by her mother, Pauline Layne of Martin; her daughters, Kerry (Trevor) Blackburn of Delaware, Ohio, Kristen (Matt) Ray of Louisville, and Gabrielle (George) Reed of Louisville; son Rob (Suzannah) Merion of Stanton; her two sisters, Brenda and Kathy; two brothers John and Dewy; and loving "Nana" to Ty Blackburn, Chase Blackburn, Shelby Barnett, Bryce Merion, Trinity Sparks, Zoey Ray, Peyton Sparks, Victoria White, George Reed, and Jaden Smith. As well as her baby dog Flash.
