Frederic M. Shelton

Frederic M. "Fred" Shelton, 89, of Frankfort, Kentucky passed away on September 26, 2017.

He was former owner operator of Service Stations in Louisville, KY. He also worked for Napa Auto Parts for over 20 years. Fred was also a member of West Frankfort Church of God. Fred served in the United States Army.

Fred was born on December 20, 1927 in Jefferson County, Kentucky to the late William and Pauline Shelton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Shelton; and his siblings, William and Marie.

He is survived by his step-children, Donna Hall, Steve Slaughter (Jennifer) and Gary Slaughter (Mary); step-grandchildren, Craig Slaughter (Leslie), Jessi Slaughter, Josh Hall, Brooke Burkhalter (Jacob), Robert Slaughter (Michele), Christopher Slaughter, Jordan Slaughter (Samantha), Angela Dresselhaus (Joe), Anita Slaughter and Brian Trent (Brittany); and many loving step-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243), with a celebration of Fred's life to
start at 4 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday, with visitation to resume after the service.
