Velma Joe Garrett Heusel, 88, former resident of South Louisville and later LaGrange, KY, loving wife to the late Charles Heusel, Sr., entered into eternal life on Sunday, September 17, 2017, after an illness.
Born on April 25, 1929 in rural Carroll County, English KY to her late parents, Dalton B. Garrett and Flora Smith Garrett. She was a former employee of both the Old Masterson's Steakhouse and Walgreen's Drugstore Company, in Louisville.
She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Loyall (Harold, Sr.), Sandra Schoenlaub (Jerry), Pamela Grimes (Charlie); sons, Charles Heusel, Jr. (Blanca) and Michael Heusel (Robin); grandchildren, Harold Loyall, Jr., David Loyall, Joseph Schoenlaub, Katelin Schoenlaub, Karl Lentz, IV., Karla Jackson and Michael Heusel, II.; and four great-grandchildren.
In loving memory of Velma, memorial donations may be made to The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and the American Cancer Society.
