Blanche M. Smith, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on July 11, 2017.
Blanche was born on June 29, 1930 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late William and Marie Wise. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Douglas Smith; sister, Betty Linde and brother, William Wise, Jr.
Blanche is survived by her daughter, Barbara Schwiermann (Donald); granddaughters, Tracy R. Schwiermann and Theresa M. Koense (Raymond); great-granddaughter, Tuezdae R. Schwiermann, and nephew, Larry Linde (Janie).
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243), with a Celebration of Blanche's life to follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
A graveside service for Doug and Blanche Smith will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY at 2 p.m.
In loving memory of Blanche, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project.
