Troy Dustin Byrd, 37, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017.
He was born on March 24, 1980 in New Albany to Vickie (Lopp) Ricketts and the late Jerry Byrd. Troy was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Vera Lopp and Arthur and Evelyn Byrd.
Along with his mother, Troy is survived by his son, Gavin Byrd; step-father, Kevin Ricketts; siblings, Doug Byrd (Kristi), Phillip Byrd, Tony Ricketts, Melissa Ricketts; granddaughter, Paisley Byrd; grandfather, Raymond Lopp; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 PM to 4 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his Funeral Service taking place at 4 PM. Troy will be laid to rest privately at a later date at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
Contributions in Troy's memory may be made to the American Heart Association (240 Whittington Parkway, Louisville, Kentucky 40222).
