Glenn Allen Black, 77, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Monday evening, June 26, 2017. He was a United States Army veteran and a fan of both sports and car racing. Glenn loved his family and enjoyed all of the time he got to spend with them.
He was born on January 7, 1940, in Jeffersonville to the late Guy Black, Sr., and Catherine (Lewis) Sansberry. Glenn was also preceded in death by his son, Louie Pena.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara (Swango) Black; sons, Jeff Black (Jenny) and Robert Black (Melissa); daughter,-in-law, Missy Soete (David); brothers, Robert Board (Nancy), Guy Black (Becky), and Mike Black; grandchildren, Megan, Meranda, Tyler, Meriah, Marissa, Morgan, and Brandon; and great-granddaughter, Mazzie.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
