Joan (Witt) Fordyce

Joan (Witt) Fordyce, 85, of Salem, Indiana passed away on May 22, 2017. She retired from Kimball International in Borden, IN after 15 years. She enjoyed painting as well as spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Joan was born on December 11, 1931, in New Albany, Indiana to the late Leon, Sr. and Ethel (King) Witt. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Leon Witt, Jr., Jack Witt, Dale Witt, and Patty Montgomery.

Joan is survived by her children; Stephen L. Fordyce (Tami), and Richard A. Fordyce (Tammy Basham); sister, Marcella Richards; brother, Donnie Witt; 3 Grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Joan's wishes.
