Heaven celebrates the arrival of Linda Mae Dean! What an amazing life she was given by her Creator! And now she stands before the throne where her Lord and Savior says, "Well done, good and faithful servant! Come and share in your Master's happiness!"
Though she will be incredibly missed, we rejoice that she is now whole and made new!
Linda was born in Springfield, Missouri and lived in Buffalo, Missouri, until graduating from Southwest Missouri State College with an Elementary Teaching degree. She lived in many cities during her husband, Gene's, career such as Seattle, Chicago, Washington D.C. and Louisville. While in the Washington D.C. area, she worshiped at Truro Episcopal Church teaching Sunday School and volunteering.
Linda also volunteered for President Reagan in the White House correspondence office. When she and Gene were transferred to Miami, Florida, she resumed teaching. When in Louisville, she and her husband volunteered with YoungLife and attended Bible studies.
Linda is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gene, her daughter Jennie, son-in-law Tre, and grandchildren Caleb , Benjamin, Barret and Ellery.
Linda was loved by so many. She has many dear friends and family who will miss her dearly. She was a lover of all animals, especially her beloved chocolate lab, Woody. She loved people with all her heart and she loved the Lord. She left a legacy that will never be forgotten. She showed us how to love others in an amazing, selfless way, right up to the end of her life and we will be forever grateful for the gift she was to all of us.
Until we meet again, my sweet mom!!!
