Garrett, Lewis A., 88, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on December 21, 2016. He retired from the former International Harvester.
Lewis was born on January 31, 1928, in Pendleton, Kentucky to the late Ben and Sarah Garrett. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Garrett Smith.
Lewis is survived by his wife, Jacky Hartman Garrett; daughters, Edith "Carol" Alirezay (Hossein) and Sarah Allgeier (Larry); sister, Elaine Garrett; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thank you to his in home caregivers.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY.) His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 12 p.m. at Fern Creek Baptist Church (5920 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY) burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Sligo Baptist Cemetery.
In loving memory of Lewis, memorial donations may be made to Kentucky Humane Society.
