James Henry Simpson, Sr.

July 23, 1947 — November 25, 2016

James Henry Simpson, Sr., 69, of Louisville, passed away on November 25, 2016. He was an avid UofL fan, enjoyed going fishing, bowling and playing his X-Box. One of his favorite hobbies was taking care of his fish.

James is survived by his wife, Charlene Simpson; children, Lisa (Terry) Meacham, Kimberly Bolling and James H. Simpson, Jr.; grandchildren, Ashley, Aaron, Courtney, Bryan, Amber, Austin and Cory; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Aubrey and 4 sisters.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 3pm-8pm. A celebration of James's life will be Wednesday, November 30, 2016, beginning at 12pm at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel.

Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Hwy, Valley Station, KY.
