Donald Ray Casteel

Donald Ray "Donnie" Casteel, 55, lost his battle with cancer on October 12, 2016. He worked as an ER technician and a nursing assistant for 25 years. Donnie was a member of Suburban Mason's Lodge 740. He enjoyed bowling and fishing. The only thing Donnie loved and enjoyed more than the Dallas Cowboys was spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Casteel; children, Jennifer (Michael) Lucas and Jordan Casteel; granddaughter, Hailey Lucas; parents, James and Lillie Casteel,; siblings, James (Diane) Casteel, II, Barbara (Jimmy) Bragg and Mary Holton and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 16, 2016, from 5pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) and Monday, October 17, 2016, from 9am -1pm with a celebration of Donnie's life beginning at 1pm.

Burial will be at Elk Creek Cemetery, 5734 Elk Creek Road, Taylorsville, KY.
