Edith Irene (Harris) Weathers Logsdon, 67, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Saturday evening, October 8, 2016. Growing up, Edith was given the nickname "Banana Nose." She could easily be described as a hard worker and a loving mother. Edith was an avid UK fan, enjoyed playing video games, and was a huge animal lover.
She was born on August 31, 1949, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Renard, Sr., and Mable (Herthel) Harris. Edith was also preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Weathers and Charles Logsdon.
Edith is survived by her children, Charlotte Bryant (Tony), Aubrey Ritchie, Jr. (Cyndi), and Tammy Burgin (Henry); siblings, Rosalyn, Renard, Jr., Bernard, Ruth, and Phillip; grandchildren, Tiffany, Anthony, Tristan, Bradon, Aiden, Skiler, Tyfani, John, and Heather; and great-granddaughter, Annika.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in New Albany.
