J. Franklin Chapman

J. Franklin Chapman, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on September 9, 2016. He retired from Mason-Dixon Trucking after working there for many years. He was a member of the Local 89 Teamsters. He was an outdoor person and loved to go hunting, fishing, and boating.

J. was born on October 18, 1938, in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky to the late Durward G. and Frances (Cubert) Chapman. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Durward Lee Chapman and several nieces and nephews.

J. is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris J. (Walker) Chapman; daughter, Frances M. Chapman; grandchildren, Tylan E. Livingston, Ashley L. Livingston, Aubrey E. Weizenegger and Kenyon Weizenegger; siblings, Willmont Chapman (Kathy), Evalena Osborne (Carlton), Peggy Key (Charles), Wesley J. Chapman (Mary Lou), and Brenda Clark; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272). His Funeral Ceremony will follow visitation at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
