Margaret Louise (Fenwick) Smith, 68, of New Albany, Indiana, went to meet the Lord on Sunday, September 4, 2016. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and caregiver her entire life. Margaret was baptized at Greater Mt. Zion Apostolic Church of God and attended Praise Covenant Apostolic Church in Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Nancy (Wright) Fenwick; sisters, Nancy Young and Brenda Slaughter; and brother, James Fenwick.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 49 years, Henry Smith; daughters, Yolonda, Kimberly, and Shawn Smith; brother, Charles Fenwick; sisters, Florence Smith (Cordell) and Rita Fenwick; grandchildren, Joree Smith, Davon Winburn, McKenna Smith, Michael Morris, Jr., Safiyyah Rasool, Savion Smith-Moran (Samantha), India Smith, and Darrell Smith; and great-grandchild, Zorah Leon.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Greater Mt. Zion Apostolic Church with burial to follow at Abundant Life Memorial Gardens.
