Brian Keith Glenn

March 12, 1963 — June 1, 2016

Brian Glenn of Greenville, Indiana, beloved son, brother and domestic partner, passed away on Tuesday June 1, 2016, aged 53. A quiet man with a gentle sense of humor, he had an inventive imagination and enjoyed creating games and treasure hunts for family birthdays and celebrations. One of his interests was the space program and keeping abreast of the latest projects and developments at NASA. He enjoyed reading, had a collection of books on trivia, and received local recognition as a literacy tutor.

Brian was born in Alexandria, Virginia on March 12, 1963. He and his family moved to Colorado and back to Virginia before settling in Davis, California when Brian was 14. He graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting and held a variety of jobs that reflected his omnivorous interests, such as producer/videographer for a cable station (late 1980's), multimedia developer (early 1990's) and Quality Assurance Engineer for various Silicon Valley software companies. Ultimately, Brian was hired by Apple Computer as a QA Manager in the late 1990's—after completing work on a System 7 release for the Macintosh.

Brian and his long-time domestic partner, Cheryl Blundell, sold their home in Sunnyvale and moved onto a 20-acre hobby farm outside of Louisville Kentucky in 2004. They enjoyed life growing berries, grapes, peaches and hay, along with stewarding a dozen adopted pets, before downsizing to a smaller horse property in Greenville, Indiana in 2012.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Lowell Glenn. He is survived by his partner Cheryl Blundell, his mother Carolyn Glenn, his sister Linda (Aaron) Needles, his "brother-in-law" Chris (Colleen) Blundell, his nephews Lucas Needles and Dustin Blundell, and his nieces Sarah Needles and Laura Blundell.

As Brian lived on both coasts as well as in the Louisville area, there will be no local service. His ashes will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean off the California coast later this summer.
