Poston, John B., 88, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on May 14, 2016.
He retired from Dupont Chemical and he was a Korean War Veteran.
He was a member of Shively Baptist, but formerly a member of Ralph Avenue Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for many years.
John was born on August 7, 1927 in Florence, South Carolina to the late Junior and Maybelle Poston.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Jane Poston; two sons, Garry L. Poston and Ron R. Poston (Pamela); grandchildren, Aaron Poston and Ashley Poston; great-grandchildren, Hadley and Zayden; sisters, Zelma Spencer (Bob), Barbara Covington; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville), with a memorial service to start at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In loving memory of John, memorial donations may be made to Ralph Avenue Baptist Church.
