Catherine Sue Lindsay

Catherine Sue Lindsay, 73, of Louisville, passed away on September 1, 2016. Cathy was born in Louisville on October 8, 1942 to the late Elbert and Kathleen Hooper. She loved playing Bingo and enjoyed listening to and dancing to rock and roll. She was an animal lover. Because she was never able to have children of her own, she was the beloved second mother to her sisters' and brothers' children.

In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Lindsay; three brothers, Walter Hooper, Elbert Hooper Jr., and James Ronie Hooper; and two sisters, Mary Kron and Louise Mazzoni. She is survived by three sisters, Dollie Logsdon, Ruth Phelps, and Barbara Darlene Cooper (Buck); and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272). Visitation from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
